HealthPartners Launches “Certified Health Partner” Designation to Honour Canada’s Most Philanthropic Workplaces
Ottawa, ON — HealthPartners proudly announces the launch of the “Certified Health Partner” designation, a new certification awarded to Canadian workplaces that run annual fundraising awareness campaigns supporting HealthPartners and its collective of 20 national health charities.

The Certified Health Partner designation celebrates workplaces that are building cultures of compassion, philanthropy, and community-orientation by recognizing the role we can all play in ensuring that supports are available for the 90 per cent of Canadians who will be affected by a chronic or acute health condition during their lifetime. By supporting HealthPartners, these workplaces are making a clear statement that they champion and uplift employees who live with these health challenges, integrating empathy into their corporate values.
“At HealthPartners, we understand that nearly 60 per cent[i] of employees are living with a chronic health conditions like diabetes, cancer, or heart disease, so our member charities touch nearly every workplace,” said Kimberley Hanson, CEO of HealthPartners. “With the Certified Health Partner designation, we are excited to formally recognize workplaces that not only raise essential funds for our health collective but also cultivate an environment where employees with lived experience of chronic and acute illness are supported and celebrated.”
For Certified Health Partners, the distinction represents a pledge to advance equity, inclusivity, and corporate responsibility. Being recognized as a Certified Health Partner, workplaces support a purpose-driven mission to:
- Improve access to care and treatment for chronic and acute health conditions that affect many employees directly or indirectly.
- Champion employees with lived experience, fostering a culture of understanding and empathy within the workplace.
- Drive vital medical research, education and health services through supporting HealthPartners’ 20 member health charities.
