Senior Director, Corporate Services

Salary: $100,000.00 to $120,000.00 /year

Responsibilities and Tasks

The Senior Director, Corporate Services is primarily responsible to:
  • Ensure effective operations by overseeing all aspects of HealthPartners’ Finance, HR, IT and operations
  • Prepares regular reports for management and senior volunteers
  • Ensure accurate and timely financial and operational performance measures, including an annual balanced scorecard and accountability framework
  • Ensure that organizational assets are secure and safe, and that adequate contingency plans are in place
  • Ensure that adequate financial controls are in place
  • Develop and oversee the implementation of a strategic HR plan
  • Develop and oversee the implementation of a strategic IT plan
  • Provide assistance to the CEO in supporting the governance functions of the organization
The Senior Director, Corporate Services is additionally responsible to:
  • Oversee the organization’s planning, forecasting and budgeting processes
  • Lead the organization’s risk assessment and management process
  • Provide staff support to the Chair, Finance & Audit and support to the Finance & Audit Committee, and other governance support as required
  • Complete special projects and miscellaneous assignments as required
  • Oversee the preparation of T2200 and T3010 forms and charitable tax receipts
  • Provide strategic advice and direction as part of the organization’s senior management team
  • Prepare and distribute an annual results book for HealthPartners members
  • Ensure all statutory obligations are met appropriately
  • Perform other responsibilities as required by the CEO
  • Provide supervision to the Manager of Finance


The Senior Director, Corporate Services will actively and consistently demonstrate knowledge of and experience with:
  • Accounting practices and best practices : an accounting designation is required
  • Human Resources best practices, including the development and implementation of strategic HR plans
  • Technology and IT software, best practices and developments – including CRM, Microsoft Office Suite and accounting software
  • Governance practices
  • Accountability frameworks, including human resource performance review processes and balanced scorecards
  • Risk Management principles, assessment and processes
  • Project Management principles and practices
  • Corporate Services Leadership in a not-for-profit environment
  • French and English

Entry Qualifications

A successful candidate for the role of Senior Director, Corporate Services has the following formal training and experience:
  • Professional Accounting Designation
  • University Degree in Business or Accounting
  • 5-7 years as a senior manager
  • Senior HR Experience, or HR Designation
  • Experience leading an organization’s IT strategy
